FSU followed such an awesome win against a team that I'm not sure has a 5 year rugby program with a loss to UCF 15-13 with a full squad (according to the team's facebook page). They play UF tomorrow, who looked sluggish in the 1st half against UCF but got a talking to at half time and destroyed any competition in the 2nd frame with pack work and a couple slick back moves. They are still missing some key players too. Those guys won't return until late this month. Absolutely nuts how Maryland beat UT! Wow, heads up to the Terps then and UT needs to shape up. If they got worked by Maryland's pack, that brings up some red flags for games later on. Good to see some healthy competition though. Couldn't disagree more with Dartmouth being in the top 5. This isn't 7's and they have NEVER done anything outside the soft Ivy competition.

I cant believe such outlandish claims would be posed against SDSU on such a day. To think SDSU has the funds to pay foreign born players "shurley" makes no sense. I mean come on the alumni at SDSU, who has been known for nothing but class (in their eyes), can barely afford to support its current team, or hold on to a good coach. So to say that SDSU is paying players under the table...get your facts straight DON, I cannot say that USD has performed any malpractice, but UCSB on the other hand has, they are great at shipping in overseas players, though not the best, they never give up; a trait that hopefully will wear off on their American teammates and in turn produce a more well balanced USA side in years to come. I can remember when SDSU played UCSB about 2 years ago, though the score was one sided the scrum half of UCSB kept his composure yelling to his troops that the 80 point defecit was still in reach. Cheers to you sir, cheers to you.

I heard even the SDSU alumni team breaks the rules, recruiting foreign players and paying them under the table in order to win the high stakes affair. Such loose practices would never be seen at USD. Come on State, show a little class!

Inside scoop on the event everyone has been waiting for, SDSU Alumni Weekend. Due to conflicts and scheduling errors Jason "the Truth" Merril will most likely be playing every minute of the four 10 minutes periods of 7s this weekend. Some Alumni have already canceled their RSVP's in fear of being embarrassed or even decapitated on the field. Speaking of living in fear, Jeff Sparks, USD's forwards coach, has the highest bounty on his head this year. Lookout Sparky. Alongside Merril, leading the aztecs is The Trashman (if you don't know who that is than you dont like college rugby). With a couple of studs like that suiting up in the red and black its hard to imagine that an alumni team, composed of several current and past eagles, could even play on the same field as the current aztecs. This weekend could very well be the biggest day for college rugby this year.
