I enjoy this site, but please improve the writing a little bit. My only experience with sports journalism was in high school, and who knows maybe that is more than most writers for this site (not an insult). Always, ALWAYS have the final score in the first paragraph. At times I've seen articles where the final score was not even mentioned. Once again though, sincerely enjoy this website and appreciate the work put in.

Line-up shmine-up The fact is Australia capitolized on horrid kicks and poor ball retention in contact. #6 should be benched. #8 Should be first 15. Why we kick the ball to Australia with 1rst 15 international professionals playing is still beyond me. USA please play boring rugby it was working for you, quit trying to be cute.

Hank - problem is I have not seen ANY mainstream media coverage. Maybe I am not tuning in at the right time but I've heard nary a word on Sportscenter or in the papers ... Davehalo - point taken but if ever there is a position where a grizzled veteran can slot in it's at the prop ... and Eric is anything but grizzled. And I don't mean this in a nasty sort of way. I hope the guy has a long and successful career but we did leave behind a very useful prop in Will Johnson who is also young and has professional experience that a US prop is not going to get. And yes - lets take it to Italy. would be a nice way to finish this run!!!

To all the Eagles players please keep up the hard work and relish the RWC experience. To USA rugby staff, enough already with the collective quotes I do not wish to hear about the "Kitchen sink" anymore, it's old it's tired and it provides no useful insight.

Fry may be young for an American prop but there are far to many props 1-3 years younger than him playing in the RWC. EOS did roll the dice to rest his starters for a shot at Italy. It's nice to see other country's team doctors finally stepping up and saying a 4 day turn around for 2nd tier countries is not enough rest when playing test matches. Aus did to the US what Berkley used to do. more rest between matches may have allowed EOS to truly test the eagles. c'est la vie...good 1st half til Aus brought on the subs. let's get Italy now!

About what I expected from our B team. Good effort and I'm proud of each guys hard work. With that said, the following guys shouldn't be given another chance to suit up for the stars and stripes, they have all been in the mix far to long: Nese Malifa Junior Sifa Eric Fry Inaki Basuri JJ Gagiano These guys are young so maybe don't give up on them yet: Colin Hawley Tai Enosa Pat Danahy I'm really on the fence about Swiryn. He looked promising a few years ago, but seemed to not really improve all that much. Maybe just have him stick to Sevens.
