@ruggafan4life, I would love for an example of a player for SDSU who played his freshman year, then came back a 25 year old with a family.....and according to you SDSU has been doing this for years, so it should not be hard for you to throw out a few examples of this.

Don Dorito is right. SDSU has been doing this for years. Guys play there freshman year and then vanish until they comeback as 25 year grown men with families. It's an outrage.

Googleme, I hope you're joking... How is Scott Brown back at SDSU??? I though he was out of eligibility?!?!? Here goes SDSU working around the flimsy rules at USA Rugby again. That guy is an absolute stud, and should not be allowed to play against college kids anymore. I mean com' on, it's just not fair. What's next, you're gonna tell me SDSU started a graduate program in used car sales and James Coder is coming back? SDSU is just not playing fair, that's why I'll be rooting for the boys in robbins egg blue across the 8 at USD. Go Torrerros!!!

There are many things that Aztec Rugby can be proud of over the past couple of years, but the future looks even brighter. Anton Mironov looks set to have a break out season. Will Pidd is on the verge of a eagles selection. Jean Luc Rulon was named as the most recognizable person on the SDSU campus. However, there is still an extra piece of the puzzle that needs to be added. Someone who truely has the guts of a winner. Someone who is more physical, more passionate, and more proud than everyone else. This someone has earned the reputation on the Aztec campus as a true leader and soul mate. The name of this warrior, Scott Brown. There is no one else like him. Division 1, get prepared for th onlsaught of this great man. He has the "FAITH" of SDSU behind him and when you add him to all the other greats that have been mentioned, i think that a national championship is in near future. GO AZTECS!!!!!!!!

chrisbenoit hit the nail on the head. Mironov is a true giant on the campus of SDSU, both literally and figuratively. He is future of American rugby. On another note, one can not look past the little ankle biter that is Will Pidd. He took a year off to go on his mission and will be back in full force wearing the black and red. He may be 5-1, but he surely packs a punch and his skill in and around the breakdown will surely help the Aztecs to finally take the next step. His leadership is unparralled on Montezuma Mesa. He leads from the front in every drill, practice and weight room session. Accompany that with likes of "The Enforcer" in Mironov and you have yourself a recipe for success.

I could not agree more with Don Dorito and Repenefaufau. Anton "the Colossal" Mironov should have been selected for eagles. What was O'Sullivan thinking. Mironov is the true Ali Williams of American rugby. Unbeatable in line out play. His ability to be better, faster and stronger than all other players on the field inspired the Kanye West song that topped Billboard charts across across the world. What is next for this great man? A starting spot on the World XV team can't be to far away.

Well put Rupenefaufau. Mironov was a true giant, rocketing up to the sky to win lineout ball and using his powerful frame to play the role of "enforcer" around the pitch. O'Sullivan made a huge mistake in not selecting him. What do you guys think about the other team from San Diego, USD? Word has it they've brought in some new coaches and are looking to take over the "king of San Diego" role from their red and black neighbors. Should be an interesting year in SoCal...

To build off of Don Doritos post, Anton Mironov was one of the all time greats down at state. SDSU has produced talents such as Brendan Purcell, Duncan Kelm, and Alex Ross, all players that are on the Eagles radar for both 15's and 7's. It is a shame that a player of Mironov's caliber has not gotten the nod from O'Sullivan.

I agree with repenefaufau89, the addition of Jean Luc Rulon will definitely bolster a pack that is suffering heavy losses at SDSU. A lot of people use the phrase "glue that holds a team together", and Jean Luc's last name might as well be Elmers; he's that important to the Aztecs chances. Where they are gonna find a ball winning lineout specialist is anyones guess, as it's not every day, every generation rather, you have to fill shoes as big as the ones Mironov left. He recently had his jersey retired in the Aztec athletics hall of fame, right next to Marshall Faulk and Tony Gwynn, a place not usually reserved for rugby players. Good luck to whoever has to replace him!
