Does anybody ever think that Japans players might just have been better then the USA Side the other night. And that although it is a coaches job to get the players prepared it is up to the team to win the games. Japan defense shut down the back line. Lot of Monday morning QB's out there, wonder how many of them were any good? Don't get discouraged boys keep up the pressure and take Ireland to task.

The backs, 10 thru 13, have no vision. Where were the loops.....the switches... basic moves you learn at the lowest levels. I saw very few if any. I agree that Malifa needs to go. Emerick has been good on the crash and on defense. Is Hercus available?

I think the time of turing to overseas people to "help" USA Rugby needs to end. I am not being xenophobic, but I feel we need to turn inwards and focus on utilizing what we have within rather than what others can offer. And it doesn't matter who it is (Henry, Deans, etc.) because they will only be able to improve things to a point Understanding the obstacles that stand in our way requires people who have experienced them first hand. The whole culture of the Eagles needs to change. The jersey means nothing. It seems as if playing for the Eagles is a stepping stone to better things and that HAS to change for people to take what it means to be a Test player seriously. The Eagles need to be seen as the end of the road, not just a fork in it.

Nese like many others in this team is individually a good player but is style looks cramped and this can only be due to the tunneled vision of his coach and the supposed game plan or lack of. Nese is at his best playing to what is in front of him but it seems that this regime has not been able to draw out this quality of him. A coach's job is to reduce complexities to simplicities so whoever has been working with the backs on decision making has not only failed with Malifa but with the entire unit. By the way who is the backs coach?

think we defended very well, particularly in the second half,” he said, “and if we could have had more time with the ball in the second half we maybe could have won the game, but we spent too much time without the ball....EOS Japan scored most of their points in the second half...the defense looked abysmal...everyone thinks it's is all great that guys like emerick and danahy and so on.. fly up and wack guys...but that should not be a consistent doing. However it seems this has been okay with EOS since he doesn't care his team has no sense of what line speed is...guys are creating vertical gaps every phase...it's rugby 101 and they must have skipped that lesson. This one is on the coaches: Philosophy, Tactics, Selections, and Professionalism . Figure it out and don't embarrass this country!

Sports fans tend to demonize certain players and overly blame certain individuals for a lack of team success. But in this case, while you can point to mistakes made by a lot of today's participants, one stands head and shoulders above the average. Yes, you Nese Malifa. Why is he our 10? Tactical kicking? It was AWFUL. Decision making? Ditto. Just giving the ball back to Japan at the first opportunity. (Although to be fair, he may have been so instructed.) Positioning, bringing the other backs into play? Pathetic. Dangerous with the ball in hand? Laughable. Defense? Mediocre. Goal kicking? Yes, three from three, but a larger sample from recent games leaves one in doubt. Does he have pictures of O'Sullivan with someone (or something) other than his wife? That's must be it. Alternative explanations will be welcomed.

Hey Eddie, I hope you your renting because its back to the Emerald Isle after the RWC. I see no plan or philosophy in the US play. I see alot of excuses from you and your players in their post game comments. Are you just managing he players or are you coaching them? You're certainly not leading
