Isit OK to begin the comments ... 1. Japan were the better team and controlled the 2nd half. No killer instinct from the Eagles at all 2. The Eagles seem very slow of foot - they cannot create any space on attack 3. Eric Fry being lifted off the ground and given an elevator ride. Anything more need to be said? He'll be on the team though 3. Tim Useless comes in and when the Eagles are on attack at the end what does he do ... one pod to reset ... OK .. two pods to reset ... ok but lets get the ball moving ... three pods ... this is not looking good ... fourth pod ... knock on and game over. Really Tim? 4. The Japanese seemed to live offside but point one still stands. They also (particularly in the first half) seemed to have dummy runners that were damn good blockers / screeners. 5. The referee seemed to have no concept of advantage. .

Spin it however you want, but the Eagles were feckless against a Japanese B side, and this is after having the team together for 4+ weeks. Limping into the RWC. Also, can someone explain to me why the Eagles have a staff of 14 with the team in Japan? Do we really need two team managers and a media relations person that doesn't speak Japanese?

USA Eagles scrum is a mess and Japan is pushing them around and winning balls against the head even with Petri feeding it into the 2nd row's feet. Eagles did not breach the Japanese defense once and were gifted one try and the other was a because Japan got sloppy with the ball and turned it over. When Japan was in attach they breached the Eagles line multiple times and the Eagles are lucky that Japan hasn't scored 3 tries. I am afraid that regardless what happens in the second half the Eagles will be lucky to win one game at the RWC. They lack any attacking power and the pack can't fight their way out of a wet paper bag.
