I am not likely to join their demonstrations, but the "Occupy ..." movement definitely has it right. Between NBC who had the rights, Universal Sports Network which I do not get (I was offered a package for $12.95/mo that includes fly-fishing for the next four years until the 2015 RWC - nothing against fly-fishing, but not my spectator sport) and my local newspaper which listed only the USN coverage, not NBC which apparently did show it, I was forced to watch the game in my local pub. No commentary, lots of noisy distractions, but at least I got to drink with my friends, some of whom may want to watch rugby in the future. Let's hope that it is easier for them.

NBC has aquired the rights to this years world cup and the 2015 world cup. OMG. Are there no Rugby fans in NBC Corporate? Relinquish or sell your broadcast rights to a network that will broadcast the games, broadcast them live and broadcast them free, so that everyone in the US would be able to see what an awesome game this is. As an Ex player myself and a British Ex pat. It is sad to see that a sport that can truely bring people, cities and nations together is available to a select few of us who are able to afford the PPV channels. I would like to challenge any and all of NBC to go out to a local rugby game in your area and talk to the players and spectators about what Rugby means to them, why not put on a pair of boots and try it yourselves, who knows you might like it!

Was great to watch the games that were free, thank you! Wouldn't ever pay to see it when there are free alternatives on line. Shame on NBC for trying to cash in on the few rugby fans when they are already cashing in on ads and we are already paying cable premiums for premium channels. Go All Blacks!

The fault here lies with the IRC. I'm sure NBC was the highest bidder. But they should have been a bit more far sighted and given up some revenue now to put this with a tv company that would give this, third biggest international tournament, some exposure. Fox sports has been a big supporter of the game with regular games on fox soccer plus. They have great outlets for the smaller group games as well as more available outlets for the final. It bugs me that I can watch bass fishing but not rugby!

This is ridiculous. This is the World Cup. You dont charge people to watch the olympics or the Soccer World Cup. Terrible effort at promoting the sport by just showing the USA get their butts handed to them . I have watched the last four Rugby World Cups without your intervention.(thanks to Setanta and Fox Sports World). Thanks for ruining this event for us here in America.

The coverage is awful. But just get a uk proxy, it will cost you $5 a month, most sites do first month free. Then watch all the games on ITV.com. On ITV sports website, the games are shown live and the picture quality is just like TV. Replays of games can be watched on ITV player, the quality of the picture drops a little, but nothing to ruin the game. I have followed all the Ireland games this way. I'm not paying $25 a game! Go Ireland!!

In previous years it was possible to subscribe to Setantat Sports for a month and watch the entire tournament. PPV is way too expensive for most folks to be able to afford in this economy. Thus far I have only watched 1 game. Shame on you NBC.
