The issue isn't her name, nationality, citizenship. None of that is in question. The issue is that she isn't playing college rugby. She is an athlete who is college age, but not a college rugby player. She played for the USA U20s - that doesn't entitle her to All American honors, regardless of how talented a player she might be. All Americans all attend college, and play their sport in college, in every sport.

"Players most likely to wear an eagles jersey" I would say that your top athletes in America would be your eagles, or U20 eagles. so why would you not select your top athletes for AA.

@Huh? So it is absolutely impossible for someone with a "Funny sounding" name to be of college age and playing rugby as a US citizen? If they were of college age, playing rugby and their college didnt have a team, wouldn't that make them "at large"? It's funny how xenophobic folks can be... There are a ton of Foreign NCAA AA's...look at all the Caribbean (Track and Field), African (Soccer, Track and Field) and Euro (Soccer, Track, Field Hockey) folks on the list year to year. Citizenship is not a requirement to be an AA in the NCAA..anymore than it is a requirement to play a sport in the NCAA But then again, Hawaii may be a foreign country too... Signed, A Born US citizen with a funny sounding name, who plays rugby....

Title Stealing Army ,,,really You forgot to mention how they stole the 7's title in Philly with the team finishing 2 weeks of manuvers the day before the tournament, with only one player who ever played 7's against penn state with 4 players on the national team and the national coach. Give me a break ,these cadets don't steal anything . You should have had at least 3 other champions on the AA team

How can a collegiate all-american be "at-large"? They either play college rugby or they don't. Unless this is a college-aged player, which would then undermine the entire point of naming AAs. It's your list and you can do it however you want, but I think collegiate AAs should be reserved for players playing American college rugby. Not foreign players, not players not playing currently, etc etc. The NCAA doesn't give All American to American players playing their sport in a university located in a foreign country. And for good reason. It undermines the whole point. USA Rugby does it because they can't keep themselves from co-opting every single thing they have their hands on into somehow benefiting the USA National teams (see: Gareth Jones being named a 2011 AA) but RugbyMag doesn't have that anchor weighing them down. They are free to attempt to name a legitimate AA team and not just a list of "players most likely to wear an Eagles jersey"
