[quote name="GrowingRugby"]Everyone is entitled to an opinion and maybe the the upset counterparty needs to understand that no one will ever agree on an issue. The Kutztown program has been growing and has adapted to the challenge of a changing game. Nothing is perfect!!! A coach is entitled to his opinion just as a referee is in a match. Might I remind many of you the coaches are not paid and if they are it is not a large amount. They are dedicated to the sport and the The mudslinging and politics that exist on the college level only holds back the progression of the sport. There will be hurdles but negative attacks will not let us move .. And I think KU can take a positive step to remove coaches that are currently and always been a detriment to the union and players from other universities. So spare me the love of the game speech. Complete hypocrisy from the poster

Might I remind many of you the coaches are not paid and if they are it is not a large amount. They are dedicated to the sport and the student athletes. What we need to focus on here is the mere fact that better competition will raise the bar for rugby around the country. The mudslinging and politics that exist on the college level only holds back the progression of the sport. There will be hurdles but negative attacks will not let us move forward. I hope other teams around the country look to take the step Kutztown took last weekend

I am a KU supporter. They have a great program, strong alumni support and a dedicated coaching staff. We all know why KU did not get invited to the CRC and why Temple did. It's over. Let it go. KU had a point to make and I think they did it. They are a very young and talented team that we will all be watching for the next several years. Keep it positive. Make your point on the field of battle, not in words on this web site. I hope more university teams play in qualifiers. It will only help them and it will only improve rugby in America.

KU tired to win their way into the CRC's and lost to C Washington. if any of you think the CRC is just about rugby then you're sadly mistaken. Yes, rugby is the driving force but NBC is going to pick sides with large National fan bases to help with the ratings as well as the promotion of rugby. Maybe temple didn't have the best showing but they did sell all their allotted tickets which helped secure the event in Philly again in 2012. Wrap your head around the entire picture.

Was Temple on the level of the other CRC clubs, probably not. The point was that the K-town coaches showed that they had no class in trashing Temple to anyone who would listen probably beause K-town was not invited. But that's nothing new. Heck, it just adds to their legacy. What is Temple's rugby legacy? They have had one great player but what have they done as a team? Why would Kutztown support Temple rugby, because they are both from the same state? I guess "jeffproc" doesn't get it. The K-town folks do not have to suppport Temple. But to go out of their way to trash Temple is another thing altogether. They would have been better served to just keep their mouths shut and show some class rather than trash some kids who are in college who played because they were invited by USA Rugby. Instead of trashing Temple, Doc and his boy should have trashed USA Rugby. Bottom line: no class from K-town, no respect given or deserved to K-town.

Ya, too bad USA Rugby & NBC picked one of the worst teams in the US to play in such a prestigious event & embarrass the level of rugby in the US. Even my girlfriend (who never played rugby) said, "Why are these terrible teams in this tourny?" Hopefully next year they pick the best teams instead of the popular ones. Was Temple on the level of the other CRC clubs, probably not.
I heard that the USA 7s LLC made Las Vegas 7s a way for teams whos schools dont have a recognizable name and are in the middle of nowhere to earn a seed into CRC 7s, Kutztown should consider playing in it in 2012, this could be their way in!

This is the tournament where the young players really stepped up. Good to see new, fresh players on these good teams taking over for the older guys.. Give props where it's due.. It's only the first tournament more to come.. I think it was a great tournament regardless it's all about development of teams & players
