5-20...i remember playing a few years with a prop that i now look back on and realize he was/is one of the best props i ever played with (and i've locked and played flank behind 4 eagles now over nearly 20 yrs)...he was selected for an eagles camp, made the squad and was then the "water boy" for the one international match he went too. it's a shame. i like what the 7's program is doing with these "try-out" camps/combines. to many top players are overlooked in the US...which is why the eagles never play against other US teams/select sides any more. i'd argue that the US team could assemble in Chula Vista and instead of playing against each other (i remember hodgson kocking hercus out and watching the eagles coach get mad...), let them play other US players...guys who didn't get asked to camp but want to be the 2nd/3rd string opposition. I think this happened a few times and the "scrubs" played some better positional rugby than the eagles...Any thoughts out there?
