A report by Steve Luhm of the Salt Lake Tribune said that University of Utah rugby player Thretton Palamo looked the best of the Utah running backs in the Utah football team's spring scrimmage this weekend.

Palamo, who was first capped for the USA in the 2007 World Cup and has been a standout player for the USA 7s team, is sharing time between the Utah football team and rugby team, with the understanding that if he earns a scholarship with the football team, he will disconitnue rugby while at school.

According to Luhm's article, Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham said Palamo ran the ball hard.

"We'll watch the tapes to make any definitive conclusions, but [Palamo] ran hard and certainly had a lot of attempts. He got a lot of opportunities, and it looks like he made the most of it."

Palamo rushed 16 times for 73 yards, while his two closest competitors for the running back position rushed 22 times for 63 yards.
