Special Navy Rugby Trip Set for 2012

Navy Rugby. Linda Christia Photo The US Naval Academy rugby team will accompany the Navy football team on a road trip to Ireland in September 2012.

Navy football is set to play Notre Dame in an exhibition at the new Aviva Stadium in September 2012. Navy rugby will travel with the football team and play Trinity (Dublin University) at Trinity's home ground.

The rugby teams are hoping that since NBC covers Notre Dame football, and in fact NBC's rugby producer also produces the Notre Dame football games, that the network might provide some coverage of the match, as well.
