No. 11 Arizona tries to bounce back from a loss to Air Force against No. 17 Colorado (1-0) in both teams’ second league match of the year Saturday March 10th at 2pm.

The Buffaloes come into the contest after handling rival Colorado State 42-20 in their league opener.

Saturday Arizona hopes to start taking advantage of its home field, as the Wildcats are only 1-3 in Tucson so far this season. Arizona’s home losses have all been to top-notch opponents: Cal, No. 5 Army and No. 9 Air Force.

Arizona is 4-1 all-time against Colorado, including a 36-26 victory over the Buffs last spring in Boulder.

“We need to get well right now,” said Arizona head coach Dave Sitton. “Colorado is a better team than last year. We have to minimize the mistakes with the new players we have in our lineup.”

While the season is still early, this game is paramount if either Colorado or Arizona is to make a push back toward postseason play. It's unlikely any team will make it out of the West with two losses, and BYU should be counted as one for both the Buffs and Wildcats.

The injury bug has bit Arizona hard this year, with 11 varsity players out for this weekend. Sophomore fullback Shane Carter and freshman center Cameron Hudson are both still out indefinitely with mono.
