The Arizona Wildcats opened their season with three wins at Arizona State Friday night.

After the Rookie squad fell behind 10 - 0 in the opener, the new 'Cats scored four tries and hung on to claim a 26 - 22 win against the Sun Devils newcomers.

In the second game, the Arizona junior varsity scored seven tries in a 46 - 5 triumph.

And in the main event played in the beautiful ASU women's soccer stadium, center Jack Arnold and fullback Shane Carter dotted tries and flyhalf Trent Fischer booted three penalty goals and two conversions to lead the Wildcats to a 26 - 12 decision.
