Oregon State Joining Pac 12 Rugby

University of Arizona Head Coach Dave Sitton reports that Oregon State has joined the Pac 12 rugby association.

This is a group of college teams within the Pac 12 that are planning on playing in a Pac 12 league next year.

This is a crucial addition, because it brings the number of Pac 12 teams to six, a threshold number for the Pac 12 to recognize a sports competition as legitimate.

The fact that rugby is not varsity in all these schools is another hurdle, but one the organization is working on.

Oregon State joins Cal, Utah, Arizona, Arizona State and UCLA.
