Sacramento Jesuit Shut Out Penn High School
School Age - Boys

In the third quarterfinal of the Boy's High School National Championship, favorites Sacramento Jesuit contained the Penn High School offense, not allowing them any points in the 47-0 blowout.

Sacramento Jesuit coach Fred Khasigian said that Penn played well, but the difference was that his team had a stronger outside game. "Penn was good but we were able to get the ball to our backs and they were able to break down the Penn defense," he said. "It was one of our better games. It was just one of those days when things worked."

Penn is known for having a strong forward game, but because Sacramento Jesuit was able to neutralize them and play their forwards well, it allowed Sacramento's backline to take advantage of the space outside. "Their forwards didn't dominate as usual," Khasigian said.

Sacramento Jesuit's next match will be against Gonzaga later today in the semifinals. "It will be a revenge game against Gonzaga, seeing as we lost to them last year," Khasigian added.
