School Age - Boys

Illinois Youth Rugby held their state championships last weekend at the Chicago Blaze fields in Lemont, Ill.

Illinois State HS finals In the Tier 1 Boys championship, Brother Rice edged Morton 13-10.

In the Girls championship, Plainfield defeated Rockbonsie 26-15. SPSN beat Quad City for 3^rd 27-7.

There were several other tiers of state championship as well. Morton got some measure of revenge in the B-side title match, beating Brother Rice 16-6. Fenwick took 3^rd 17-13 over Batavia.

Lake Forest won the Tier 2 boys title 33-26 over Nequa Valley.

In Tier 3 south, Springfield edged Metamora 17-15. In Tier 3 North, the Pritzker Jaguars beat Hope Academy 17-5 in the semis. Pritzker went on to beat Springfield 26-5 in the final.

Brother Rice also made the final in the Frosh/Soph category, beating Nequa Valley 41-17.

Lake Forest also claimed a second title, winning the Middle School final 30-22 over Arlington Heights.
