Scully Happy With First Game
International - Americans Overseas

Blaine Scully got a good and a rough start in Premiership Rugby Saturday.

The former USA 7s player and Cal All Americans, Scully had a shaky moment or two early, and had to have his eye attended to when it got a whack, and his right arm strapped a little later.

But in the end it was all good. The fullback scored a try thanks to a nice commit-and-pass from Mani Tuilagi, made some solid defensive plays, including a tackle of the opposition lock in full gallop, and helped Leicester win.

"I was anxious to get my season started," Scully told RUGBYMag.com. "I am relatively pleased with the first game; now I will analyze the game with the coaching staff, assessing both my individual performance and the team's performance. There are plenty of work-ons and opportunities to improve, with the objective to be better and more prepared for next week."
