Three Yanks Help Trinity Win
International - Americans Overseas

Three Americans helped Trinity beat the Belfast Harlequins in Irish club action this weekend.

Battling for promotion, Trinity (the rugby club of Dublin University) edged the Harlequins 20-16.

Former High School All American Pierce Dargan started at blindside flanker for Trinity. USA prop Shawn Pittman came on as a sub at halftime, and former USA U20 and LSU hooker Cameron Falcon came on in the second half. The three were on the pitch together for a total of five minutes, as Dargan was subbed off shortly after Falcon took the field.

"The game was not pretty at all, and Trinity to their credit stuck to their guns closing out the game reasonably comfortably," said Trinity Head Coach and USA assistant Tony Smeeth.

Trinity is now one point behind University College, Dublin for 2nd in DIB.

Next up is a top-of-the-league clash in College Park with league leaders Ballynahinch, to whom they lost 24-21 in January.
