It was a fairly quiet weekend for Americans overseas as a few players were given some time off. Todd Clever started at No.8 for NTT in Japan as they beat Panasonic 25-22. Takudzwa Ngwenya started for Biarritz in the French Top 14 as they won 27-8 over Monpellier.
Chris Wyles started at left wing for Saracens in their 23-16 win over Sales, and also in the Premiership, Samu Manoa started at lock for Northampton as the Saints beat Exeter 24-21. On the subs bench were Scott LaValla at Stade Francais (20-20 tie with Castres) and Eric Fry for the Manawatu Turbos in New Zealand (33-20 win over Northland). Paul Emerick did not play for Wasps as they lost 30-23 to Bath. In lower divisions, Seta Tuilevuka did not play for Beziers against Dax. Roland Suniula was on the subs bench in Auch’s 33-9 loss to Pays DAix, and Inaki Basauri was a sub for Tarbes in their 25-25 tie with Oyonnax.
