Roland Suniula Signs in France

Roland at USA Sevens in Las Vegas. Dave Barpal photo Roland Suniula, formerly of the Chicago Griffins, Boston and Pearl City, has signed with FC Auch Gers of the French Pro D2 league.

Auch Gers has bounced between the Top 14 and Pro D2 for several years, last appearing in the Top 14 in 2008.

Roland’s contract could give the Suniula family three professionals once again, as brother Andrew is with the Cornish Pirates in England and brother Shalom is expected to be contracted with the Eagles 7s team this fall.

Shalom and Roland were contracted with the 7s Eagles last year until Roland left the team to play with the Griffins in the hopes of landing a 15s contract overseas.
