RWC Qualifier Dates Confirmed
International - Rugby World Cup

The International Rugby Board has confirmed that it has changed the dates for the Rugby World Cup Qualifiers between the USA and Uruguay.

The original dates were set for April, right in the middle of the USA club playoff season, and also conflicting with European Cup quarterfinals that would potentially make it difficult for Americans overseas to be released from their clubs.

The games have now been moved to March. Uruguay will host the first match Saturday, March 22, with the return leg set for the United States Saturday, March 29.

No venues have been confirmed.

The winner of the two-leg series will qualify for the Rugby World Cup England as Americas 2 in Pool B with South Africa, Samoa, Scotland and the Asia 1 qualifier. The loser of the series will participate in the repechage.
